If you will be caring for someone who is ill, is recovering from surgery, or has limited mobility, consider one of our patient lift rentals. Patient lifts do the heavy lifting for you, reducing the risk of caregiver back injury and protecting the safety of both the patient and their caregiver. For people who are thinking of purchasing a patient lift, patient lift rentals allow you to test-drive the lift and make sure it’s the right one for your needs.
Our Patient Lift Rentals
Select your rental period and availability
At Mobility Plus Colorado, we have a range of patient lifts in Denver to suit different uses and users.
Patient Lift Sizes
Our medical lifts come with "ideal person" guidelines for weight and height. The most heavy-duty electric patient lifts offer a weight capacity of 600 lbs. However, tall patients who are under the weight limit should still make sure the lift is a good match for their height to avoid having to scrunch up.
Electric Patient Lifts vs Sit-To-Stand Lifts
Our Patient lifts come in two varieties: full electric (powered) and sit-to-stand options. When choosing a patient lift rental, consider how the medical equipment will be used.
An electric patient lift is preferred if it will stay in the same position and the caregiver doesn't wish to pump the lever or is not able to do so. To complete the lifting process with an electric lift, you simply press a button and fully lift the patient.
A sit-to-stand patient lift is preferred for someone who can sit up and has some upper body strength to support themselves but doesn’t need to be fully suspended in the air. This is great for individuals getting in and out of bed to be sat on a toilet or livingroom couch.

How do I know if the Patient Lift is the right fit for me?
You can always call and talk to a professional to size up the right machine for you. Generally, you'll want to follow the Ideal Person Guidelines within the rental descriptions but a staff member would be happy to discuss what you're looking to do with the Patient Lift to make sure you have the right machine for not only your size but also your usage.
What is the weight limit for Patient Lift rental?
Our Patient Lift limit is 500lbs so your weight should be under the limit for that particular machine. Additionally, you should pay attention to height requirements so you aren't scunched on a machine just becuase you're under the weight limit. If the person using the machine is too heavy or too tall we do have options for purchase that can accommodate.
What is the minimum rental time for a Patient Lift?
We have a one (1) week minium with no maximum.
Is there a deposit for a Patient Lift?
No there is no deposit required!
What if I lose or damage the machine?
Unfortunately you would be responsible for loss of or damage of the machine.
Can I rent something for a family member or friend?
You absolutely can but just be aware that we are renting the machine to you so if there are any damages or loss then you will be held responsible not the person you rented it for.
Does Insurance cover Patient Lift rentals?
Your insurance MAY cover your rental but Mobility Plus will not bill insurance. That is a question for your insurance company and your policy. Typically, people rent the machine privately from us and then apply for reimbursement from insurance but you should connect with your insurance company first before booking.
If I cancel my reservation what happens?
If you cancel your reservation there are sometimes fees and penalties which are outlined in your rental agreement. Typically we do not allow cancelations after reservation start times have passed.
If I want to extend my rental what happens?
We are happy to extend it! You just let us know by phone, email or text and we will charge the card on file to the date you want to extend to. Easy.
Can I pay cash for a rental reservation?
We do not allow reservations to be made by cash. We must have a card on file for both extensions and damages that may occur.
What do I need to make a reservation?
We require a credit card to make the reservation and an ID to release the machine to you. You must be 18 or older to rent and sign our rental agreement. You must sign our rental agreement to receive the machine (you can make a reservation without signing but you can not receive the machine without that completion).
Do you have long term rental rates?
Yes we do! Let us know your dates and desired machine and we can get a quote within seconds.
Should I rent or buy a Patient Lift?
This question typically comes down to timeline and usage. If you think you're going to have to use a Patient Lift for more than 20 weeks then you should consider purchasing.

You may book over the phone. We offer online booking options but if you'd like to talk to a live person a team member would be happy to discuss and book for you during normal business hours.
Do you offer same day Patient Lift rentals?
We do offer same day installation in most cases. In the unique case that we can not we will work to find a solution for you.
Do you offer any credit from my Patient Lift rental if I wish to purchase?
Yes we do! We will credit you back half of your rental towards the purchase of a Patient Lift if you decide you would like to purchase instead of rent.
Do you have Manual and Electric Powered Options?
Yes we do have both for rent. The Manual Option is more cost effective and you never have to worry about being plugged in or charging it. A Powered Option is easier to use overall.
Is the Manual Patient Lift difficult to use?
No not at all! It has a lever that you pump up and down but it is incredibly light and easy. You won't be cranking or lifting in any way. It is simple to use and more cost effective than powered options.
How long does it take to install?
From the time we ring your door bell to the time we drive off will be approximately 1 hour or less.
