Patient lifts go by many names: people lifts, mechanical lifts, hospital lifts, and handicap lifts. But no matter what you call them, they can be invaluable in a hospital or at-home care setting. They make it easier to transfer patients from one place to another, such as bed-to-bath or chair-to-bed. When used properly, they can help reduce the risk of injury to patients and caregivers when patients are being transported.
Our Portable Patient Lifts
At Mobility Plus, we have an assortment of portable patient lifts for homes, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other care settings. Let our experts know what you need, and we can recommend the right patient lift for you or your patient, whether that means an electric patient lift or one of our hydraulic patient lifts.
We’ll provide all of the components you need including the mast, boom, sling, bar, dual rear locking casters, and latches. Our experts can even come to your home or facility anywhere in Colorado and build the patient lift on your behalf.

Where in Colorado do you buy Patient Lifts?
We will deliver anywhere in the state of Colorado! You can also visit our Showrooms to test for yourself.
How do I know if the Patient Lift is the right fit for me?
You can always call and talk to a professional to size up the right machine for you. A staff member would be happy to discuss what you're looking to do with the Patient Lift to make sure you have the right machine for not only your size but also your usage.
What is the weight limit for Patient Lift rental?
We have multiple Patient Lift Options with limits up to 600lbs so your weight should be under the limit for that particular machine. Additionally, you should pay attention to height requirements so you aren't scrunched on a machine just becuase you're under the weight limit. We can make recommendations to meet your comfort level and price point.
Does the Patient Lift need to be plugged in?
Yes it does for Electrical versions - Manual or Hydraulic versions do not. The machine functions on batteries inside the chassis but they recharge from the wall. Any normal three pronged outlet will be sufficient. We do not need special electrical requirements.
Do you offer Celing Patient Lifts?
Yes we do. We offer portable, fixed and ceiling mounted patient lifts.
What's the difference between a Hydraulic Patient Lift and a Electric Patient Lift?
A Hydraulic Patient LIft is also known as a Manual Patient Lift. You must pump the manual arm - this isn't difficult but it can be time consuming. An Electrical Patient Lift is fully powered and electric making it easier to use but more expensive to purchase.
Does Insurance cover Patient Lift purchases?
Your insurance MAY cover your Patient Lift but Mobility Plus will not bill insurance. That is a question for your insurance company and your policy. Typically, people purchase the machine privately from us and then apply for reimbursement from insurance but you should connect with your insurance company first before booking.
What if I have it installed and don't like it or don't want it?
We would strongly recommend our rental options if there's a doubt in your mind. We also have models available in our Showroom to test drive before you buy. If you have it installed and change your mind please contact us to discuss options.
Is there somewhere I could try or test drive Patient Lifts?
Yes, our showroom offers examples that you can physically ride and try before making the purchase. We highly recommend it if you've never seen or used one yourself.
Can I pay cash for a Patient Lift purchase?
Yes absolutely.
Do you ever buy back Patient Lifts if we no longer need it?
We will evaluate your machine and make you an offer. That offer is dependent on time, wear and tear and our need to purchase anything at that time.
Do you offer refunds for Patient Lifts?
We do not. We have standard models that we keep in stock at all times. Once that machine has been installed we will not refund any portion of the purchase. If you order an HD or special order we will not refund any portion once that Special Order has been placed. That is a specailzed machine so we won't be able to re-purpose that custom order.
Should I rent or buy a Patient Lift?
This question typically comes down to timeline and usage. If you think you're going to have to use a Patient Lift for more than 13 months then you should consider purchasing.
Do you have any Patient Lifts with lithium ion batteries?
We do not. All of our Patient Lifts contain Lead Acid batteries.
Can I book a Patient Lift rental online?
Yes absolutely. Our inventory is online and available to 24/7 with real time updates of our inventory so you can book anything you want whenever you want. A representative will contact you during normal business hours to confirm your reservation once it is set.
Can I book a Patient Lift Delivery or Installation over the phone?
You may book over the phone. If you'd like to talk to a live person a team member would be happy to discuss and book for you during normal business hours.
Do you offer same day Patient Lift Installations?
We do offer same day installation in most cases. In the unique case that we can not we will work to find a solution for you.
Do you offer any credit from my Patient Lift rental if I wish to purchase?
We do not credit any portion of Patient Lift Rentals towards purchases.
Do I have to buy the sling separately?
Yes you must buy the sling separately depending on your height and weight. We offer a wide range of sizes and functions which a Team Member would be happy to discuss with you.
Are there any self propelled or individual patient lifts?
Not that we are aware of. It is difficult and dangerous to manuever and use a patient lift alone.
